This video of miners unearthing the alleged Yamashita treasure cycles online which again opened the case of the urban legend. In the video, it can be seen that a miner was trying to cut some wires connected to the gold bars. These wires were thought to be part of bombs securing the bars from the people who would try to steal them. As the video progressed, there were no explosion took place and the miners as well as the bars of gold were all safe.
Unfortunately, there were no information as to where the video was taken or any disclosed identities of the people behind the unearthing of the alleged Yamashita treasure. With the number of shares that this video garnered, part of its clip was featured in the past episode of Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho about the well-known urban legends in the country which for this case the Yamashita Treasure.
It’s not new that this kind of news trended because way back in the 70’s amateur treasure hunter named Rogelio Roxas became controversial for discovering part of the Yamashita treasure in Baguio. However, the said part of the Yamashita treasure in form of a golden Buddha weighing 1-ton is no longer in the custody since it was confiscated by the Marcos government way back.
